Ozone (O3) is a molecule which consists of three oxygen atoms all sharing the same electrons. Ozone is a very unstable molecule which happens to be exactly why it is so powerful! Ozone is generated by passing pure, medical grade oxygen through a tube in which energy is directed. This generates ozone as a clear, gaseous, powerful molecule. Ozone therapy is an effective treatment for many diseases as it reverses poor oxygen utilization within the body.
This happens through the formation of ozonides (when ozone comes into contact with lipids and amino acids) which increase the NAD/NADH ratio.
