Treating SARS-CoV-2 With Riboflavin And Photodynamic Therapy

Photodynamic Therapy (PDT) has become a promising approach for treatment of cancer and infectious diseases. This  therapy utilizes a photosensitizer that is absorbed by individual cells. The cells themselves can then absorb different wavelengths of laser light causing a light activation process within the cell. This light activation process induces various chemical processes such as the development of radical oxygen species that destroy tumor tissue, microbes and viruses.

The effects of Photodynamic Therapy on SARS-CoV-2 virus have been tremendous. A study done by Dr. Michael Weber, of the Laser Therapy and Research Center in Germany, showed drastic improvements in patients who were positive for Covid-19. In Dr. Weber’s study, he treated Covid positive patients with Riboflavin (B2) as the photosensitizer and UV light through Photodynamic Therapy.

The results of the study showed that 100% of the patients treated with Riboflavin and PDT showed dramatic improvements in clinical symptoms and viral load within 5 days. Of those treated with Riboflavin and PDT, 70% tested negative for Covid-19 after 5 days of treatment. All of these patients had tested positive prior to beginning these treatments.

At Kare Health & Wellness, we have been utilizing Photodynamic Therapy for treatment of many chronic illnesses, cancer, athletic recovery and general wellness. We have recently been utilizing this therapy for treatment of our Covid-19 positive patients.

Our outcomes mirror those of Dr. Weber’s as we have seen tremendous improvement in patient symptoms and viral loads. This therapy has also proven to be highly effective in improving lung function which has been one of the most severe symptoms of the virus.

Along with the use of Riboflavin as a photosensitizer for UV and Blue light, we are also utilizing other photosensitizers for Red and Green light which has shown to be effective in improving cardiovascular and respiratory health.

This treatment combination along with infusions to help strengthen the immune system and replenish minerals and nutrients that are commonly depleted in Covid positive patients have enabled hundreds of patients to avoid hospitalizations and ER/Urgent Care visits.

We have developed a special Covid unit where we are offering HOPE for those in need of treatment and recovery. Our experience, knowledge and highly trained staff are here to serve anyone in need of treatment.

We do not judge anyone for their beliefs in regards to treatment or vaccines. Our mission is to simply provide effective treatment in a caring environment. We have treated hundreds of Covid patients from all over the Midwest and we will continue to serve those who need us for as long as necessary.

If you or a loved one are battling this relentless virus, early treatment is key to reducing the effects of symptoms and diminishing the life span of the illness. For those that have not had the virus, we encourage you to have a plan in place ahead of time in the event you do become symptomatic.

Our treatment options include Ozone Therapy, Infusion Therapy, prescription medications, oral supplementation and Photodynamic Therapy. Our providers will assess you and develop a treatment plan that is best for you. For more information, you can contact us at 417-881-4994.
