Walnuts May Improve Diet Without Prescription Weight Loss Pills

Walnuts May Improve Diet Without Prescription Weight Loss Pills

Studies have shown that eating nuts can improve diet, but most people count them out because of their high calorie content. Dr. David Katz of Yale University Prevention Research Center developed a study to find out if the benefits of nuts outweighed the extra calories. The results showed that by adding walnuts, people’s overall diets did improve and can alleviate the need for prescription weight loss pills.

Since nuts are so filling and satisfying, people were able to regulate the extra calories and were choosing more nutritional foods by cutting out processed foods and packaged foods. Also, weight did not go up which confirmed that people were adding something good and cutting out something less good. So, if you are looking to improve your diet by eating something more nutritious, start by adding nuts.
