With nearly two decades of experience in healthcare, Michelle Bay, MSN, FNP-C, brings a wealth of expertise, compassion, and a deep commitment to patient-centered care.
She began her nursing journey in 2005, working in the Neuro Trauma ICU, where she developed a passion for critical care and patient advocacy. Throughout her career, Michelle has served on various nursing councils, held leadership roles, and taught trauma care to fellow medical professionals.
Her experience expanded at Cox Hospital, where she worked as a Trauma Nurse Clinician and Orthopedic Clinician while leading the Organ Donation Council.
Her dedication to advancing healthcare education led her to lecture at conferences, nursing seminars, and youth offender programs, helping to shape the next generation of medical professionals.
Michelle’s approach to healthcare shifted when she witnessed firsthand the limitations of conventional medicine. She saw too many patients caught in a cycle of medication without addressing the root cause of their health concerns.
This realization, coupled with personal experiences caring for loved ones, deepened her belief in integrative medicine—an approach that empowers patients, provides them with options, and ensures they never feel unheard in their healthcare journey.
In 2018, Michelle earned her Master of Science in Nursing and became a Family Nurse Practitioner. She then took on the challenge of launching an integrative medicine practice from the ground up—handling everything from lab testing and IV therapy to patient care as the sole provider.
She developed comprehensive treatment protocols, specialized in pain management, and focused on providing alternatives to surgery and pain medications for those seeking a different path to healing.
During this time, she also completed advanced training in injection therapy under Karen Rhea in Denver and became certified in BioTe and Evexipel bioidentical hormone replacement therapy (BHRT) through specialized training in Texas.
Rooted in family values, Michelle lives on a farm in Eudora, Missouri, near her daughter, son-in-law, mother, and stepfather. She cherishes the close-knit nature of her community and enjoys life on the farm with her three beloved dogs.
At Kare Health & Wellness, Michelle is an integrative medicine specialist who is passionate about partnering with patients to help them take control of their health. She believes in providing personalized, holistic care that gives people the knowledge, support, and alternatives they need to live healthier, fuller lives.
Michelle says “I want my patients to feel like they have a partner on their journey—someone who is honest, compassionate, and always willing to listen. No one should feel like just a number in a 15-minute appointment.”
